August 19 marks the 19th anniversary of the dedication of Jennings Manor, a 61-unit apartment building providing residences for adults 62 and older with very limited means. It was the organization’s first expansion from its experience in providing nursing home care. Jennings Manor was funded entirely by a $4.24 million federal grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Bishop Anthony Pilla, who was bishop of Cleveland at the time, remarked, “It is obvious Jennings Hall is a significant presence in Cuyahoga County, especially in the central southeast area, in the vital ministries it provides. Jennings’ enormous investment in new nursing services, coupled with its commitment to the needs of the elderly, make it an ideal sponsor of the project.” Let us ask God to continue to bless all at Jennings as we carry on the mission and values on which we were founded.
