in News

Today is the feast of St. Luke, physician and inspired author of the third Gospel and of the Acts of the Apostles. He is known as the patron saint of physicians, and we are grateful to Catholic Health Association USA for this prayer for physicians.

A Blessing for Physicians

May you always heal and be healed.
May those who come to you find in you
One who cares deeply
Whose knowledge includes knowledge
Of the spirit’s movements.
May you take pride in your gifts and use them humbly.
May the suffering and the vulnerable
Be your teachers.
May you see in others the goodness
Of a tender God.
May compassion encircle you
Carry you
Strengthen you
And give you insight.
May your presence be hope
To those in pain
May your skill ease the way
And instill trust.
May you know the Healer of all
May your own heart be held
In the compassion and tenderness
Of God.

This blessing comes from the book,Voices from the Journey,
authored by Sr. Juliana Casey, IHM.

Because we care for people, there are many measurements and surveys that speak to quality. One of the most important metrics to us is that residents feel happy and satisfied living at Jennings. We are proud that our nursing home and assisted living ranks in the top 25 in Northeast Ohio based on residents reporting their satisfaction.

“We are honored to be recognized in Northeast Ohio’s top 25 because it reflects that residents are living the way they want to live,” said Allison Q. Salopeck, President and CEO of Jennings. “Every day we are privileged to care for people by honoring their choices, caring compassionately and living our values-based culture. Though we continually change and grow to meet expectations, high resident satisfaction shows that our mission is strong.”
