Our history: intergenerational programs

Visitors are sometimes surprised to see children at Jennings and find out that we established The Learning Circle infant and child care on the campus. The seed was planted decades ago when we realized how much joy children can bring. With a small daily preschool (as shown here) in the 90s, we began #intergenerational activities. What a hit! The intergenerational opportunities were a benefit to everyone involved, from the simple enjoyment of laughter and company to the fulfillment of residents reading to children. Jennings continues daily intergenerational activities today, with children participating in our child care as well as student groups of all ages from local schools and community groups.#TBT #75years
