Front Porch

The last few months have brought many changes and unforeseen challenges to Jennings. However, we are doing everything we can to keep residents and staff safe while still finding moments each day to celebrate life.

The front porch at Jennings is a peaceful gathering place, a warm welcome and a breath of fresh air. It’s where we gather to grill out, blow bubbles, soak up the sun and watch kids and older adults alike ride on a slip ‘n slide. Where veterans line up to salute the flag as Taps plays and we honor those who have served our country on Veteran’s Day. Where residents connect with each other and with their families, sharing stories or simply enjoying the company of loved ones in peaceful silence.

The front porch is an important place for celebrations of all kinds at Jennings and as soon as residents are able to gather to enjoy it again, we want to give them the best experience possible. We hope you’ll be able to help.

The plan for the renovated front porch and surrounding area includes enhanced safety features, more room for residents to gather and accessible flower beds for a horticulture program. Residents spend so much time in the nice weather enjoying the porch and we want to give them a beautiful, welcoming space that can fulfill all of their needs.
